• Merge Originals

  We have expanded what a DDP administrator can do with “Deliver Original Docs”. Historically, LOOPlus allowed you to build and deploy dynamic document creation merging Salesforce data into any combination of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF files. The DDP administrator could determine to return a single PDF, a PDF of each document in the DDP or each original merged document in the DDP. With LOOP 6.0, you now have the option to merge and then combine multiple Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents to a single Word, Excel or PowerPoint file.

  - Merge Word to Word (doc to doc)
  - Merge PowerPoint to PowerPoint (ppt to ppt)
  - Merge Excel to Excel (xls to xls)

   

  Word Example:
  You have a proposal or statement of work that is made up of 4 different Word template documents. Regardless of the required documents, you want to return back a single merged Word document. Now, you can simply add “merge from previous” to your DDP manager. This allows you to build all of the required DDP logic and workflow and specify if you want all of the Word template documents to merge to a single Word file. In addition to merging to a single Word file, you can evaluate Salesforce fields or other form field logic to determine for example if an additional disclosure needs to be included. For contract negotiations, you can even deliver the single merged Word file with tracking turned on. This is great to start the redlining process.

   
  
   

  PowerPoint Example:
  You can now return a single PowerPoint file managed at the DDP level with various optional and/or required presentation elements of a PowerPoint slide deck. This provides the DDP administrator and end-user with ultimate control over dynamic PowerPoint document generation. See our support site for more information.
   

 
 

• EchoSign Enhancements

  Now, you can send a DDP for e-signature through EchoSign with the single click of a button. The button click allows you to automatically generate highly customizable dynamic documents (NDAs, Quotes, Contracts, Service Agreements, Statements of Work) to an EchoSign Agreement within Salesforce. The DDP can be defaulted with all of the appropriate agreement settings and recipients. Additionally, the EchoSign Agreement can be signed in person either on a computer or mobile device.

• Permission Sets

  We have listened to our DDP Admins – with LOOP 6.0, you can easily add Permission Sets for DDP Admins and DDP Users. You can grant DDP access to individual users without having to clone your profiles. The DDP Admin Permission Set includes full CRUD rights to all of the LOOP custom objects as well as Read, Create, and Edit rights on documents. The DDP User Permission Set includes only Read access to LOOP custom objects and documents, and full CRUD rights on the Document Queue.

Salesforce Flow is a new feature available in the Spring ’12 release. It allows SFDC users to create a “point and click” visual process for building any business workflows. Sample Flow Use Case:

A Call center has developed various business rules and workflows depending on the type of a new Lead. Flow allows you to visually map out the various workflows for each new Lead depending on your business rules. With the new Flow DDP integration, a user of Flow Designer can now add a DDP “to the flow”.

How does a Salesforce user send the DDP with a Box Share Link?

The user simply clicks a button from any Object, selects the DDP to run and then he/she will automatically go to a Salesforce email template with a Box Share Link in the email text rather than having the DDP attached to the email.

Benefits of Box Share Link DDP delivery include:

• Control how your customer or prospective customer views the DDP (document package)
• Allows you to control and monitor all DDP views
• Automatically creates a dynamic document package (e.g. Sales Quote) and sends an email from Salesforce with the Box Share Link placed directly into your Salesforce email template
• Allows you to send larger DDP file sizes via email as you are not limited to Salesforce email attachment constraints

Salesforce Knowledge Article Files

Knowledge Article files can be found as a related list under Cases. Dynamic Document Packages (DDPs) can now include Knowledge Article files as part of the elements that will go into the final packaged PDF file.

Some of our latest PowerPoint features include:

1) Dynamic Organizational Charts

This feature allows you to dynamically create organizational charts in PowerPoint based on hierarchy data in Salesforce. You can use the “out-of-the-box” Reports To function in Salesforce.

Or, you can also establish your own custom hierarchy relationships by using a lookup field to reference the same object.

2) Dynamic Charts & Graphs

With dynamic charts, you can set up a DDP to display dynamically generated charts & graphs in PowerPoint based on data in Salesforce. It is as simple as setting up a chart or graph in PowerPoint and then referencing the name of the chart when setting up the DDP. You can also have the data source be dynamic. (For example, you may have 15 records in Salesforce that are summarized into 5 rows of data for the chart.)

3) Row and Slide Replication in PowerPoint

You can set up a PowerPoint table to dynamically replicate rows in a table based on the number of Salesforce records as well as have the slide duplicate based on number of rows dynamically merged into PowerPoint.

Why would you need to use DDP Forms?

1) You can’t get a field added to Salesforce

If you are like many of our enterprise Salesforce customers, you know the pain of getting a new field approved and added. We lived through some of this pain with customers often waiting weeks, months and in one case, over a year!

2) You don’t want to create a new field

When you begin to evaluate your documents (contracts, quotes and agreements), you will discover that fields required to merge your documents are missing from Salesforce. DDP Forms solve this problem by allowing you to capture the data required for document generation without having to add a new Salesforce field.

3) You want a quick wizard to isolate fields for input or review

For example, your Opportunity object may contain lots of fields that are not required to generate an initial quote or generate a sales contract. With DDP Forms, you can present ONLY the required fields to generate the DDP. A DDP Form allows you to complete the form and then have the DDP automatically populate the data back to Salesforce while generating your customized quote or sales contract.

Some uses of DDP Forms include:

• Quote that relies on outside data:
  You may have outside services that are not integrated with Salesforce and critical data is required for input before generating a sales quote. DDP Forms allow you to have users click a button, be presented with a web form to capture any additional information and then run the DDP.




• Want to isolate inputs for sales proposal:
  DDP Forms allow you to give sales reps a simple and easy interface to collect only the data required to generate a sales proposal. This can be helpful when a Salesforce object has a lot of fields.

DDP NEW FEATURES

• Send to Box.net
  DDP admins can now select Box.net as a delivery and storage option for Dynamic Document Packages (DDPs). This integration helps extend out collaboration and sharing of DDPs through Box.net. This new delivery option requires an install of Box.net

• Send DDP to Chatter

  LOOP 5.3 allows you to send messages to Chatter when DDPs are run and also send the DDP file as a Chatter attachment. Click here to learn more.

• DDP Stamping

  This powerful new feature allows you to stamp your DDP PDFs. Some examples include page numbers – which is powerful in that a DDP can include any combination of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, Salesforce Quotes and Visualforce Pages – and watermarks.

• Include Merge Fields in Attachments

  DDPs allow selected Salesforce attachments to include merge fields. For example, if you have “ad hoc” documents to include with DDPs, you can upload them to attachments and then include with any DDP that “allows” attachments. The attachment can include any merge fields.

• Send DDP to FTP

  You can now include an attachment option to automatically or optionally send your DDPs to your FTP server to be stored. You can also specify dynamic folders so a DDP can be stored within a specific folder on your FTP server.

• Dynamic Images

  We have extended our dynamic image feature to allow you to include dynamic image merge fields in headers within your DDP Word template documents. This is helpful for dynamic branding or other uses for images within headers.

FORM DDPs

A powerful new feature of DDPs is the ability to use dynamic forms with any DDP. The latest version of LOOP Document Services includes Forms. To create forms, you simply place double brackets at the beginning and end of any text (or range name) you would like to convert to a web form on Salesforce. The DDP manager includes a new form edit feature where you can change any field and field label.

When do you use Form DDPs?

Many of our enterprise customers have a need to capture additional data to dynamically merge to a DDP at runtime, but do not want to create a field or store the data in Salesforce. Form DDPs provide the same enterprise level automation and compliance control and simply add functionality to capture required information for document creation.

DDPs with DocuSign

• Multiple DocuSign Accounts

  Allows an admin to associate multiple DocuSign accounts to different users within the same Salesforce.com org.

• DocuSign Templates by Template ID

  DDPs now integrate directly with DocuSign templates by referencing the Template ID from the DocuSign Console. This DDP deployment provides easier integration with DocuSign templates.
